Product: SmartPetLove Snuggle Puppy Behavioral Aid. Β
Known as: Carlos. Β
Current location: On Luna's head. Β
Rating: βββββ 5/5 paws.
I have been asked to file a review of my co-resident Luna's stuffed Rottweiler. His name is Carlos. This was not a random name. I will explain. πΎ
A Note on the Name π
Before Luna came to live with us, she lived in Florida. One of her earliest and most important friends was a real Rottweiler named Carlos β a large, good-natured dog who was, by all accounts, very patient with a small chaotic Yorkie who had shown up uninvited and decided to stay.

When my humans found a stuffed Rottweiler that could provide comfort and companionship for Luna's anxiety, the name was not a difficult decision. He is Carlos. He has always been Carlos. ππΎ

The Real-Feel Heartbeat Feature π
Carlos contains a pulsing Real-Feel heartbeat β a small device that mimics the rhythm of a living heartbeat. This is designed to comfort dogs who experience separation anxiety, loneliness, or general sensory distress.
Luna is blind. She is old. She wakes up sometimes and cannot sense where anyone is, and she panics. The heartbeat gives her something to orient to. Something that feels present. Something that says: you are not alone. π₯Ή

There is also a heat pack that lasts up to 24 hours, providing gentle warmth alongside the heartbeat. Between the two, Carlos does a very convincing impression of a real companion.
I find this acceptable. I will not be elaborating further on why. πΈ
Luna's Assessment πΆ
Luna cannot file an official review as she is currently asleep. Carlos is on her head. This is standard.
What I can report from observation: Luna sleeps more soundly with Carlos present. She whines less when left alone if Carlos is nearby. She has been known to burrow under him. She does not go anywhere without him.
I believe, if asked, her rating would be: πΎπΎπΎπΎπΎ. But I am only speculating. She is asleep. π΄

Sammy's Official Assessment π
I am a cat. I do not require a stuffed companion with a heartbeat. I have my own methods for managing solitude, which include napping, patrolling, and occasionally sleeping butt-to-butt with Luna.

However, I will acknowledge that Carlos serves an important function in this household. Luna is a senior dog with anxiety and failing eyesight who has been through a lot. She found her human twice. She has earned a stuffed Rottweiler with a working heartbeat.
Carlos keeps her company when I am on patrol. This is a service I appreciate. πΎ
