The rainbow disco leash is not just a leash. It is a statement. It is a piece of patrol equipment that announces your presence before you even round the corner. It is, without question, the most important item in my field kit. 🌈🐾

I have been on many patrols. I have deployed this leash on all of them since its arrival. I have no notes. Five paws.

But since this is an official review, I will elaborate. 😸

A leash is only as good as the cat wearing it. I am a Siamese cat with exacting standards and zero tolerance for discomfort during active patrol operations.

This leash passed. The fit is secure without being restrictive. I can crouch, investigate, and conduct duck surveillance without any interference. I can also sit in the grass and look at sunrises for extended periods. The leash accommodates all of this without complaint. 🌅

The retractable function allows my human to adjust my patrol radius as needed. In theory, I find this acceptable. In practice, I find the radius occasionally insufficient when there are ducks to investigate.

However, I acknowledge that the retractable function also provides flexibility during my kitty lane walks, where I require precise positioning along the exact strip of pavement I have designated as my route. My human follows. This is how it works. 🐾

The handle of the leash is shaped like a kitty head (or a dog head, if that’s what you see). My human appreciates that she can stick her hand through the handle when she needs to go hands-free (whatever that means). 

This is the feature that separates the rainbow disco leash from all other leashes. The lights cycle through colors – blue, red, pink, green – continuously, illuminating the grass and pavement around me as I walk. It also includes a flashlight that projects a ring of color around me.

For pre-dawn patrols, this is a practical safety feature. We are visible. The neighborhood knows I am on duty. No one is surprised by our presence. (The ducks have no such excuse.) 🦆

For night patrols, this feature takes on a different energy entirely. My shadow dances on the pavement. The colors cycle. The neighborhood is quiet and dark and glowing with rainbow light.

I am told this looks like a rave. I have no objection to this characterization. 🌈😸🐾

The rainbow disco leash has made me the most interesting thing on the block by a significant margin. Neighbors have noticed. Videos have been filmed. The internet has responded favorably.

I do not patrol for fame. I patrol because the neighborhood does not patrol itself. However, I will acknowledge that the rainbow disco leash has contributed meaningfully to my public profile. This is a secondary benefit and should be considered accordingly. 😸🌈
