PAWSITIVE REVIEW: The Catnip Squirrel 🐿️

I will keep this review brief because the facts speak for themselves. This squirrel has been in active service for over a decade. It was originally purchased for Rocket, my predecessor – a cat of excellent taste. When I arrived, I inherited it immediately. No one asked. No one needed to. 🐾

It has been stepped on. Kicked. Launched. Transported. Bunny-kicked. Used as a soccer ball. It is still here. The squirrel survives.

This toy has survived over ten years and two cats. It has been stepped on by humans in the dark. It has been kicked across multiple apartments. It has been subjected to my full operational toolkit – the aerial toss, the transport, the soccer maneuver, the bunny-kick sequence.

The body is intact. The catnip is still effective. The squirrel endures.

The squeaker did not survive. I will not be elaborating on what happened. 😸

I cannot speak to the science of how the catnip holds up over time. What I can confirm is this: this squirrel has been the object of obsession for two different cool cats for years. Out of every toy in the home – and there are many – this is the one. This has always been the one.

Whatever they put in this squirrel, it works. Long-term. Consistently. I have no further questions. ⭐

The squeaker produces a sound that is best described as a squirrel chirp. Realistic. Effective. Deeply satisfying from a hunting simulation perspective.

Cat rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Extremely realistic. Highly motivating. 😸

Human rating: This is between the humans and the squirrel. I will only note that midnight patrol sessions occur, and the squeaker does not observe quiet hours. Stepping on it en route to the bathroom at 2am produces a sound that has been described as “startling”. This is not my concern. The neighborhood does not patrol itself. 😹🐾

The size is appropriate for cats of all breeds. Large enough to grip, small enough to launch. I am a Siamese cat of average build and I have had no issues executing the full range of techniques. This squirrel fits every cat. 😸

My human acquired a second squirrel because the original goes missing during transport operations. I carry it places. The reasons are classified.

Buy two. Not because one will wear out – as established, this squirrel is indestructible. Buy two because one will be somewhere you cannot currently locate it, and operations cannot be suspended while you search. 🐾

Durability: over a decade and two cats, still operational.
Catnip quality: long-term obsession confirmed.
Squeaker: five paws from cats, consult your household humans.
Size: suitable for all. Buy two: non-negotiable.
